Luke 8:11
Now this is the meaning of the parable:
The seed is the Word of Elohim
"The side of the road" are those people who hear the Word, but along comes the enemy and takes the Word from the heart so that they might not believe and gain life eternal. (Satan causes us to doubt the Word of Elohim which removes it from our heart)
'The rock" (stony ground) are those that heard it and received the Word with joy, but they have no root; rather for a while their faith is growing, yet in the time of difficulties and trying times they are offended and turn their backs on Elohim. (No root means no foundation in Scriptures, no place for faith to gain a foothold. Everything sounds good and seems right on the surface to these folks, but when bad things happen, they quickly blame God)
A "thorny place" are they who hear the Word and, carefully, with the wealth and lusts of the world are choked, and they do not produce fruit. (TV Evangelicals come to mind, ensnaring and choking off people everywhere)
"Good ground" are they who, with an honest and good heart, hear the Word and retain it and bear fruit with patience.

In Matthew 13 we read that YHWH Elohim sows good seed and the enemy sows bad seed, yet He allows the two to grow together until the time of harvest. The enemy is Satan, in all his deceitful ways, same as always.
Fact is not everyone gets it - not everyone understands - many are led astray by those thorny ones - and the love of truth is lacking in many. Our Creator has told us the end from the beginning so there would be no mistaking any of it for the counterfeits Satan puts forth.
If you see yourself as one who has heard about God and maybe own a Bible and even read a little, but have lost any interest; if you are one of those who follow after any TV evangelist who is mesmerizing you with gaining wealth and material things; if you feel empty or hurt and blame God, read the parable of the seed again. The end results will be a separation of that which belongs to our Creator and that which was sown by Satan.
Which harvest do you want to be part of? This is a type and shadow of the end times scenario in regards to the first and second resurrection written of in Revelation. The first is when Y'shua Messiah returns and we are gathered up together before inheriting the promised land. The second resurrection is for those who will end up in Fire Lake for eternity, gnashing their teeth in anger, rage, pain or anguish.
