On His Path of Righteousness

Love is the key to unlocking the door to understanding Scriptures and gaining knowledge so as to keep moving along His Path of Righteousness.

It is written:
John 14:15 - Y'shua said if you love me keep my commands. 14:21- He who has and keeps my commandments is he who loves me and will be loved by my Father. 15:10 - If you keep my commandments you will abide in my love just as I have kept the commandments of my Father (Torah) and I abide in His love.

And when Y'shua said that love was behind the two most important commands, he wasn't talking about an end game. Quite the contrary. Loving YHWH and our fellowman sets us on His Path.  If we think that 'love' is all we need and there's nothing more to do, then we haven't gained understanding and fall short of wisdom.  It is our love of the truth that saves us from the coming strong delusion.

In Matthew 22 we read that Yah's Instructions (Torah) and the (writings of the) prophets hold onto these two commandments:
  1. Love Master Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart, soul, might and mind
  2. Love your neighbor as yourself
Earlier, we have read in Deuteronomy 6:5 and in Leviticus 19:18
  1. You shall love Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and all your soul and with all your might
  2. Do not take vengeance or bear a grudge against your countrymen. Love your fellow as yourself.
You see, those "two great commands" do not replace anything nor everything the Father commanded - they come straight from the Old Testament, the part referred to as Torah. If you love Yah with your entire being then it should be no problem for you to get on His Path and begin to learn, understand and follow His Instructions. If you love your fellowman as yourself, you will treat him with the same respect as you would like to be treated. You should have no problem walking together, following the Instructions YHWH Elohim who comes first in all things.
Mark 12:29 - Y'shua said the 1st Commandment is 'Shema (hear and obey) O Israel! Master YHWH is one - Love Him with all your heart, with all your soul, all your mind and strength. The 2nd is like it - Love your neighbor as yourself' (Leviticus 19:18)
Using the excuse that we are all on different parts of the path doesn't cut it anymore.  Moses and Aaron led that mixed multitude on Yah's path for 40 years. They were all on the same path and only two of the original multitude made it into the promised land: Caleb and Joshua.  Read it again and get some understanding of why we cannot sit still in our perceived comfort zones and reject those who are trying to reach out and help us get through the rough parts.  If I have traveled ahead of you and learned a way through some twists and turns, wouldn't it make sense that I would, out of love for my fellowman, help those who are navigating that same part of the path?
From 1 Corinthians 10... all our fathers were under the cloud, and they passed through the sea, and they were all immersed by Moses in the cloud and in the sea. They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink... from the spiritual rock that attended them and that rock was the Mashiyach. But with a multitude of them, Elohim was not pleased. These things are an example for us so that we won't covet after evil things as they did. Neither should we serve idols as some of them did nor commit sexual sin. Neither let us tempt the Mashiyach as some of them tempted and serpents destroyed them. (Numbers 21:4) Nor should we complain as some of them did and they perished by the destroyer. All these things that befell them were for an example to us and they are written for our instruction on whom the end of the world has come; Flee from idolatry... do not associate with demons... we cannot partake at the table of our Master Y'shua and sit at the table of demons.
A path exists because of the many who have walked before us. The above Scripture quote proves His path began a long time ago.  We should continue to travel this path without staying in one place for very long.  If one is not moving then the path does not seem to be there, becoming overgrown with confusion planted by Satan, and many rabbit trails and stumbling blocks appear.  Just as those who traveled the wilderness for 40 years, our Creator is testing us to reveal what is in our hearts, whether we will obey Him or not.  That sort of puts an end to another comfort zone excuse used to justify one's behavior, doing as one will regardless, defending their actions by saying: He knows whats in my heart.
Deuteronomy 8: You shall faithfully observe all the Instruction that I enjoin upon you today, that you may thrive and increase and be able to posses the land that YHWH Elohim promised on oath to your fathers. Remember the long way that YHWH your Elohim has made you travel in the wilderness these past forty years, that He might test you by hardships to learn what was in your hearts: whether you would keep His commandments or not....
Romans 2:5 - But because of your hard and unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of wrath, when Yah's righteous judgment will be revealed.

All of our Father's Instructions are recorded in the the first five books of Scriptures: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. This is His Owner's Manual provided for His Creation. Sure, it takes some study time to even begin to understand what was going on back in those days and to learn that it still applies to us today; just as any owner's manual needs to be read a few times before the instructions make sense, become clear.

Nothing was done away with when Y'shua came on the scene, in fact, he clarifies and even raises the standard a few times, but he did not put an end to what the Father started.

Isaiah 29:9
Act stupid and be stupefied! Act blind and be blinded! (They are drunk but not from wine, they stagger but not from liquor.) For YHWH has spread over you a spirit of deep sleep, and has shut the eyes of the prophets, and covered the heads of the seers; so that all prophecy has been like the words of a sealed document. 29:13 Because that people has approached, honoring Me with words but has kept its heart far from Me, and its worship of Me has been a commandment of men, learned by rote- truly, I shall further baffle that people and the wisdom of its wise shall fail, and the prudence of its prudent shall vanish. (this prophecy tells of the coming strong deception/delusion)

Definition of 'rote':
  • the use of memory usually with little intelligence
  • mechanical or unthinking routine or repetition
If you have recently come out of 'churchianity' or any of the myriads of doctrines and false teachings perpetrated by man inspired by Satan, do not be afraid to continue on YHWH's Path of Righteous Living. Get both your feet on the path and walk as His Son walked: in love and in truth, obeying the commands of the Father.  Do not hesitate to take the hand held out to you by the desire of fellow Set Apart believers to help you get out of that rut of a comfort zone.  Be thankful that you are one of the few who hear and actually recognize the Good Shepherd's voice calling out to bring us together as one flock.  Imagine what it was like during the days of Noah, as he was building the ark and no one believed his reasons, they kept living life as normal and then came the flood. YHWH shut the door to the ark and sealed it. It was too late for anyone else to enter and be saved. Compare this scenario with the folks being invited to the banquet, awaiting the return of Messiah, but no one is preparing for it.  They are out shopping for more lamp oil when he returns and the doors to the banquet hall were shut and locked.  It's too late for anyone else to enter and be saved from the flood of wrath to come.

It is written:
1 John 5
Whoever believes that Y'shua is the Anointed One is born of Elohim. And whoever loves the Father also loves him who is begotten of Him. And by this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim and follow His Commandments. For this is the love of Elohim, that we keep His Commandments: and His Commandments are not burdensome. Whoever is born of Elohim overcomes the world: and this is the victory that our Faith overcomes the world. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Y'shua is the Son of Elohim... Y'shua came by the water and blood... and the Spirit testifies because the Spirit is Truth. And there are three witnesses, the Spirit, the water and the blood - and these three are in union.

Finding Truth in Scriptures

YHWH, our Creator, our Elohim, our Heavenly Father, has told us the end from the beginning. He used the prophets, his servants, to speak and write His Words which we know as Scriptures.

He told us the past, present and future so that when these things happened we would have no doubt that He is the one true living Elohim. All praise and glory belong to Him.

Yah warned us of Satan and his subtle tempting to draw us away from Truth and lead us into the pit of lies.

Satan causes divisions among us, he causes doubt, appearing as a knowledgeable one, gaining our trust, then leading us away from eternal life. He accomplishes this in many ways using various devices in the most subtle of ways. This is evident from the account of Eve's encounter with him.

Satan tempts Eve to eat of that one tree Elohim states not to eat of. He causes her to doubt the Word of God. She believed a lie, caused her husband to follow suit and by this they were cast from Paradise.
Life goes on with an added dimension: the spiritual war for our very souls.

Satan, who once submitted to YHWH, has become self centered and arrogant, desiring to become a god, or at least be worshiped as a god. He causes a rift between God's People by mixing and mingling with His Creation. Satan convinces some other divine beings to leave their heavenly stations and join him on his path of destruction.

YHWH (Yahweh) has given us free will, the ability to make decisions either based on His Instructions in truth and love and righteousness OR based on the lies spawned from the Adversary. There are only two choices: Life or Death (aka: Blessing/Curse; Right/Wrong; Good/Bad...). There is no middle of the road, no fence sitting when decision time comes your way. Throughout Scriptures we are given examples of choices made and the consequences that followed. It should be clear to us today which path we should travel.

Through love for our Heavenly Father we Trust in Him and have Faith in His Instructions and believe His love for His People is steadfast and eternal.

Choose the Blessing. Receive the Blessing by following His Instructions and spread the Good News of the Kingdom to come wherein His Son, Y'shua the Messiah will be our King and High Priest.
In the beginning was The Word and the Word was made flesh - Y'shua Mashiyach, the anointed one, will return at the end.

1995 ~ My New Beginning

I came to repentance in 1995, tearfully asking for help from the very God I had been ignoring all those years.

I was Channel Surfing TV than actually watching anything. I stopped on a program because the man looked like my Grandpa Bryan. This man on TV was a preacher sitting behind a wooden desk with the American flag behind it. There was a small statue of an eagle on the desk along with some other things and his big old Bible. His voice was calm, his demeanor firm, and the words weren't what I was expecting from a preacher. I continued to listen to him.

I was listening to every word out of this preacher's mouth as if he was in the room speaking directly to me! I was embarrassed and ashamed as my was life laid open before "God and Everyone". I prayed for the first time ever, asking for salvation, asking Jesus to come into my life and forgive me my sins. By this time I was bawling! I was a mess! My life was at a dead end until that day.

I had no idea...

I cried and confessed and asked several times to be forgiven that afternoon. I was bewildered when I realized I had been Satan's plaything for all those years! I became disgusted at my behavior back in those days! It's as if it were another person who did all those bad things. Oh, and the joy of knowing salvation had me floating on air for days to come! And I confessed and cried for a few more days after that! I had a lot of sinning to fess up to and it wasn't easy. My heart had been opened and the process of cleaning began.

The Holy Spirit got a foot hold in me that day and my journey began. Realizing our sinful nature is only the beginning. There is a whole lot of learning that follows. Each beginning will be different for other folks - not everyone needs to hit rock bottom, like me, in order to have their eyes opened.

So many have gone before us! There is nothing new under the sun, it's just that our eyes get opened and we see more clearly than before. Our Father is continually refining us, as the day He gathered His People and led them out of Egypt. He continues with each test he put before us in our individual lives today. It is a wonderful feeling knowing our Messiah! I love this path that I am on, that we are on.

Quoted from Mike Clayton

B'resheet is the Hebrew word for
"In the beginning"

The account of Genesis begins with how the heavens and the earth were created. Scripture tells us that it took six days for all the work to be done. At the end of those six days, Our Creator gave everyone a day off, including Himself. The world, the creatures and even the people were perfect in that day. It was a life you and I can only dream of, but never fully understand. It is a time we long to be restored to.

Into perfection came a lie from the enemy which when accepted by Eve brought doubt into her mind. Until this time she had never wondered for a moment if Yahweh really had done what He had said. In those cool-of-the-evening conversations she had just accepted the how and why He had created everything. Why should she have any doubts, because after all He was the only one she knew who had been there and witnessed these things.
When satan came to Eve his trickery was not about getting her to eat a piece of fruit, it was to plant a seed of doubt in her spirit. It was to make her doubt the words of her Creator. The words, "Did Elohim really say?" would not only cause her to eat of forbidden fruit, they would cause her and all her descendants to forever ask the question, "Did He really say?" It is a question which still plagues His family today.
No other passage of scripture has been picked apart and ridiculed as much as Genesis One. In this chapter we read of the creation of the heavens, the earth and all that is in them. We read the order of creation and the astounding words that it was done in six days. We then count from this time period using subsequent scripture and find all this was accomplished about six thousand years ago! Could that really be so? Could He really mean it as He states it here? Is this not merely code language for six million days or maybe six billion years? Did He really mean what He said? "Did He really say?"

Men have done their best through the years using junk science and fuzzy logic to ridicule and prove wrong the words of Genesis One. They have come up with evolution (which makes a monkey out of them), big bang theories and any number of ridiculous thoughts to place doubt in the words of Scripture. This so called teaching has produced a generation of Godless thought and Godless actions in the world around us.

Now you can call me simple if you desire, but I choose to read Genesis One the same as I do all of scripture. I choose to read it and believe it just as it is written. I am of the opinion that if Yahweh had meant six thousand or six billion years that is what He would have written. If He had chosen to bring us from slime ponds and monkeys that is what He would have said. If He had used a big bang, He would have told us so.

But “What is the difference?” you may ask. “Is it really important to believe Genesis one the way it is written?” “What about science today?” Let me take these one at a time.

Does it make a big difference how we treat the words of Genesis One? I believe the answer is a resounding, “Yes!” The attitude you take toward the first chapter is the attitude that will direct your thoughts through the rest of Scripture. If you have doubts about the first chapter, it would be safe to say you are still walking in that same doubt when you get to the words of Revelation. The only difference is the seed of doubt will have now been able to grow into a full size tree of doubt.

What about science today? Scientists today break their own rules when it comes to the creation of the world. In order for a scientific principle to be called true, it must be observed by the scientist. We do have some old scientists around today, but not one of them is six thousand years old. The only One we have Who was around at the time of creation states the world was created in six days and records it as being about six thousand years old. He is the only eyewitness we have. I choose to believe the One Who was there!

Through the years scientists have changed their theories and books every few years. Every time they are proven wrong, they simply come up with another theory to get them through to the next blunder. The Word of Yahweh has never been proven wrong nor has it ever needed a revision. What He said has always proven the test of time and always will.

Today, we may not understand all that went on during the days of creation, but one thing we have a choice in. We have a choice to begin our time in scripture with faith or with doubt, with faith in His Words, or with doubt based upon man’s words. The choice we make today will affect us from the very first chapter to the very last. (End Quote)

Update 09/11/2018 ~ I am keeping this quote because it is a great lesson, but I no longer follow the teachings of Mike Clayton.  He has gone the way of many other popular teachers who, after realizing that Torah was for everyone and reveals the Hebrew Roots of our Faith, have gone 'Jewish' by following the traditions of man.
